Chinese New Year is coming! My good friend, Ming Yong, is back in town for the festive season! As I’m typing this entry, I’m on my way to the Beer Garden to meet with him and gang!
Somehow, CNY has lost its magic for me! I don’t know whether is it due to the nature of my job, I no longer feel as excited about public holidays as before!
I went to get a new shirt tailored made though! I wore the supposing new one during Boss’s wedding haha
I’m more excited about the launch of Dark Acension on the first week of Feburary! I will want to get a copy of Sorin! :)
Attended boss’s wedding on 14th January! It was quite a grand affair! Even the wedding invitation looks different! I heard that they took a chopper into the Grand Canyon (Yes! THAT Grand Canyon!) to get that shot taken and flew right back out! Talking about rich people…
I was quite disappointed by the quality of the food! Maybe it’s due to the fact that the dinner is held in Ritz Carlton and I expected more! So far, the best wedding dinner is still Mike and Sharon’s wedding! The food is superb!
The highlight of the dinner was the after party! Boss had already hired a DJ to spin and a makeshift bar which serves the likes of party animals - Jäger Bombs, Graveyard, Waterfall, Cosmopolitan… - FUCK! I just realized I didn’t ask for a Long Island Tea that night!
I always enjoyed partying with Danny, Joseph and Johan! Coz they are the fun! It’s always quite a drag to have friends who will just prefer to sit down there when a group is out having fun!
Around 1am plus into the party, the DJ seems like he’s leaving soon! Boss (clearly high) actually said, “Get him to play for an hour more! I will pay! I have all the money in the world!” haha
Like how they do it in Double O and Zouk, the lights came on around 3am!
It was overall, fun!

Year 2012 began with a big bang! And already I’m closing cases. This year will be a fantastic year, where all my loved ones be healthy and money come rolling into my pocket. Haha…
First celebration of the year was on the 6th, where Lily, Hui Ping and I celebrated Lia’s birthday @ Saint James Powerhouse. We’d quite a night. None of us have a membership card and I couldn’t find Lionel Liow, a friend who is a regular @ Boilers Room. Lia then came out with this brilliant idea, borrow from stranger. Which we really did. It’ll be stupid not to as there will be 20 percent off all drinks with the membership card.
We ended the night, having supper @ Wan Dou Sek. Nice!
I dropped by Mike and Sharon’s home on the 8th for Baby Lucas’s full month. The baby is a dead ringer to Sharon.
This year, the group which I’m in be and had started doing Door Knocking. It’s showing results for me. Something which is free. Just send some time and apply the Law of Large Number, the cases will comes in =)
MY will be coming back to Singapore on the 21st to celebrate Chinese New Year!
The group of us celebrated X-mas Eve’10 in Kbox at CCK the year before.
This year, Jay and Sylvia invited us to their humble abode to spend the NYE together.
Kevin wasn’t in this photo as he was busy playing mahjong. Therefore, after you do the pairing up, you will realise that I’m the only one still single out of this lot. Haha…
Kevin and Isabelle tied the knot in 2010.
Jay and Sylvia got marrried in 2011.
Loon Cheong and Adeline be getting married this year.
Jonah and Genie are still happily in love.
Me? I’m still carving a niche for myself.
I don’t know does it got to do with age. I no longer look forward to counting down in crowded places. At the end of the day, a well day spent is one with your family or good friends =)

Visited my baby niece, Lyvia, today! I went over to do up the Shield plan for her.
She had an operation 3 days after she was born, something about her small intestine not growing well. Michelle showed me the scar on her small stomach. The sight of it pains me.
I’d been through operations and I know how painful it is. She was on Morphine drip for 2 days after the Ops. To make the matter worse, she’d jaundice and had to be put under the UV rays with various tubes on her. One into her nose for milk, one for the morphine drip, I forget what was the last one. Poor thing =(
I’m just glad that she’s doing fine now.
That was in the late noon.
Early noon, I was over @ my Maternal Second Aunt place to deliver the policies to Benjamin and Winter. And 2nd aunt cooked my share of lunch. Such a long time since I last had home cooked porridge.
Seth is currently 7 kg. That’s the thing about baby. They will undergo a major change in a span of 1 month. That smart boy already knows who he can bully. When his dad is carrying him, he won’t dare to cry (fake) as loud. And he’s a dead ringer to his dad. Those eyes.
Looking at my nephews and nieces, I have to admit that I’m getting old already haha…
And Jayrus knows how to call me ‘Shu Shu’ already =)
